Wowzah
So, is it too late to bring some life back to this dead blog that I sort of killed? We will see!

For Kids and by Kids
Here are some of the projects I have done, lately. I made this little applique and put it on my baby's shirt, because she is my little bear.
My daughter likes to have craft days, so I made her a mermaid out of sculpey. She chose these colors and painted her all by herself. the next step will be to add hair and a jewelry fnding to make her into a pendant for a necklace.
Here's another applique I did as a gift for a loved one. It's supposed to be a C and a caterpillar...

Hooray for the red, white and blue!
I just put up this cute little dress in celebration of Independence Day. It is a vintage dress I found at one of my favorite shops, and was handmade by someone who took great care in making it. It hangs in my living room, but on the Fourth of July it will be taken down for my youngest to wear for the day!

My new studio
My birthday present last year was the start of a little studio for me. With two kids and a smallish house (around 1,000 square feet), having my own space for whatever use I desire is a dream come true. Unfortunately, with a busy husband and a strict budget, the studio is taking a little longer to finish than planned. I have all my arts and crafts and much of my bearmaking supplies piled in boxes and tubs against the wall in one of the bedrooms. As we are getting closer and closer to getting to a usable point with the studio, it seems like it is getting harder and harder for me to be patient...the first picture is the studio last summer, the second is this spring. We have had many roadblocks, including the studio being 1" to tall for it's square footage, resulting in it getting cut down to size, literally.

Don't you just love the intro?
I decided to create this blog as a conglomeration of all the creative aspects of my life, since I enjoy making bears, but also love to sew, paint, screen print, make jewelry, sculpt... Well, it goes on and on. A clue about my personality? I NEVER get bored.
I will probably be throwing other bits and bobs of my life into the mix, too. Let's go!
